Use GNU/Linux

We highly recommend the use of GNU/Linux if you are an engineering or degree student (irrespective of your core area) hoping to enter the software industry. Options:

• • Knoppix 7.0.2 on a USB Stick (pen drive) - 8GB or larger.

  • Fedora 17 Scientific KDE natively or in a virtual machine if you cannot give up MS Windows.
